Our course fulfils the pre-licensure education requirements of the Texas Department of Licensure and Regulation for Laser Hair Removal. It provides hands-on training in medical aesthetics and equips students to excel in the industry.

Upon completion, students will be able to provide Laser Hair Removal and Advanced Medical Aesthetic Cosmetic Services. The curriculum is challenging and utilizes cutting-edge technical equipment.

Students enrolled in our Laser Hair Removal course will receive a comprehensive education in the practical skills required to become a Laser Aesthetician Professional. This includes an introduction to the treatment environment, a presentation on medical spa operations, and chapter skills assessments to ensure understanding of key course concepts.

Our course also includes in-person lectures, hands-on training, and practice sessions located at our school training facility. Students will receive a Laser Safety Officer (LSO) certificate and CPR certificate upon completion.

In addition to Laser Hair Removal training, students will gain advanced medical aesthetic knowledge and hands-on training in modalities used in the industry to treat anti-aging and skin conditions. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate of completion as a 40 Hour Laser Hair Removal - Apprentice in Training, 8 Hours Laser Hair Removal Technician, 8 Hours Senior Laser Hair Removal Technician, and 8 Hours Laser Hair Removal Professional from Skinology Wellness & Laser Institute.

Finally, students will take a final examination to qualify for state licensure in laser hair removal, under the rules implemented by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).

To be eligible for admission, applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application and have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent. Additionally, applicants must be proficient in English reading and writing to qualify for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations exam.

LEVEL 2

Laser Hair Removal Technician

The student will be lead with a quick recap of highlighted points previously learned. Then the students will commence conducting their very first their first 100 treatments at SWLI facility. The student will perform 100 treated areas on 4 different live models (1 hour treatment per model) under the direct supervision of either a Registered Senior or Registered Professional Laser Hair Removal Technician.

Upon completion of the 100 Treatment Practicum at SWLI, the student can expedite his or her registration status to that of a Registered Certified Laser Hair Removal Technician with Texas Department of Licsen and Regulation.

LEVEL 5

Laser Safety Officer (LSO)

The course is design to help the student be better able to understand the unique hazards lasers and IPL machines can expose to the skin and to the eyes if not handled properly. The students will be able to identify electrical, chemical, and fire hazards of light-based aesthetic platforms. The student will understand national standards for the safe use of class 3b, and class IV FDA approved medical devices, and demarcation of the nominal hazard zone, with safety considerations. The instructor will discuss practice setting considerations, mitigating, and addressing the unique hazards of light-based aesthetics systems, and students will have an understand of to writing policies and procedures manual for their aesthetics clinic.

Following the completion of the training as a Laser Safety Officer “LSO”, the student will be able to apply the theory, science, and practice of safely operating light-based devices within the aesthetics industry.

LEVEL 1

This class affords the student the knowledge of the three main layers of the skin and cells, client history and each of its functions. The student s taught skin dynamic of aging healing and regeneration. Tissue interaction will be explained to help the student understand elastin, fibrin, and collagen roll in tissue integration. The student will learn how to carefully select the client’s laser modality by using the Fitzpatrick Skin scale, client assessment history, and client evaluation.

We will also teach the student the hair growth cycle, preparing the student to understand the 3 hair growth stages for optimal results with laser hair removal. The students will understand and identify the structures of the hair follicles and medical hair disorders.

LEVEL 4

Certified Laser Hair removal Professional

The Laser Hair removal instructor will review guidelines, skin reactions, treatment protocols, treatment planning and documentation, hazards, sanitation, how to handle emergencies, post exposure protocol, post exposure follow up, assessment of clients preexisting conditions, current medications, explanation of anesthesia, medical considerations and contraindications, Texas State and Federal Regulations, and protocols pertaining to hair removal licensure.

LEVEL 3

Senior Laser Hair removal Technician

This course is rich in practical Theory, knowledge, and training to get the Technical acquainted with real life working environment. The attendee will have gained a basic comprehension of the application of light for the safe and effective removal of unwanted hair with a cosmetic laser device. The instructor will elaborate on Review of Client Chart and history, practice conducting client consultations, and verification of all client forms and consents to be completed. The attendee will be taught to determining treatments and treatment planning depending on client skin type, addressing pre and post treatment considerations. As well as documenting treatments and treatment plan for client.

Our Certified Licensed Laser Instructor perform demonstration of Laser Hair Removal Treatment. The attendee will observe and document 40 hands-on laser hair removal procedures.
